  • BODY ANALYSIS

    The Body Analysis is a series of tests and examinations designed to lay out your body’s capacity before starting out with a personal training programme. It is designed so as to result in maximum benefit from the exercise set out. The body analysis is comprised of tests for body fat, muscle, bone density and blood pressure and posture analysis and flexibility along with body measurements. These are accompanied by tests to assess the individuals oxygen requirement. Fitness instructors will then prepare the most optimal training programme for the body in light of these parameters. After the training programme begins, the tests are repeated once every 4 months so as to numerically record and monitor bodily changes.

  • PERSONAL PROGRAMME

    The Personal Programme is established by Fitness Club instructors at the on-set of the training programme. Body analysis results are taken into consideration in order to establish the most appropriate training programme to follow. The training programme may be changed every 6 to 8 weeks, once the programme is routinely followed and with the instructors approval, so that a new programme may be established in order to meet the individuals future goals.

What is medical hand care?

Our hands are the parts of our body that are most exposed to external elements after our faces, therefore they need special care just like our faces do. There are skin and nail tissues on hands which require separate care. Finger nails, which are very important both in terms of aesthetics and hygiene, can also be carriers of diseases. Also since there is no possibility to make hands more youthful by surgical means hand care is very important. Sunburn, age spots, calluses, keratinization, fungus, deformations and thickening of nails are common hand problems. The Hand and Foot Care Center, which provides services in cooperation with ASMER, has medical hand care to treat such problems and prevents new problems from appearing on the hands with protective treatment. The weekly peeling sessions, treatment of calluses and keratinization by special methods and medical hand care that cures fingernail problems are applied at the center. In addition to daily care, the hand care that is provided at suitable intervals by specialists in a hygienic setting with sterile devices at the medical hand and foot health center, achieves positive results.

- When taking care of your hands, using moisturizer regularly maintains a well-groomed look in addition to increasing their endurance against heat, cold, sun, smoke, detergent, soap and similar external factors. Also weekly peeling will clear away the dead tissue on hands and refresh the skin against the risk of age and sun spots. Using sunscreen on your hands just like you do on your face during the summer months is important for keeping your hands from aging caused by the sun.

- The calluses and keratinization that can develop on fingertips and inside palms can be cleaned away with special techniques used in medical hand care. Also special products are recommended by specialists to protect the treated areas and the treatment is monitored with check-ups.

- In manicures that are done incorrectly the skin on the corners of nails, which protect the living portion of nails from external elements and infection, can be removed too deeply. This causes the nail bed and eventually the finger, from the tip to deep inside, to be exposed to all kinds of external elements. In the hand care applied by specialists these sections of skin are pushed back rather than cut. The particles that remain on the nails are then removed with special tips. Not cutting the cuticles around the nails and going deeper each time will prevent the claw like appearance of nails that have been manicured for a long time.

- Generally many of the same problems that are seen in fingernails are also present in toe nails. Ingrown nails, fungus, deformations and thickening of nails are also problems that can appear on finger nails. Medical hand care is necessary to treat these problems in the hands and prevent their recurrence.

What is medical foot care?

Our feet, which carry us around for a life time, can develop a variety of health problems from time to time. Bone and joint deformations, ingrown nails, bunions, warts, nail or skin fungus and problems related to perspiration are among the most common foot problems. At the Hand and Foot Care Center, providing services in coordination with ASMER, medical foot care treats these types of problems and prevents new problems from developing with a protective treatment.

The application of hygienic nail cutting and shaping, cleaning nail surfaces, polishing and removing hardened skin are included in the medical foot care provided for both aesthetic and health purposes. This foot care, which is done with medical devices and special cutting tips, enables you to have aesthetically pleasing and healthy feet.

1. Diabetic foot care

A common secondary problem experienced by diabetic patients is the circulation disorder and numbness that occurs in their feet. Along with thinning of the skin, coldness and paleness comes the inability to feel cold, heat and pain. Diabetes patients, who often are not aware they have injured their foot because of the numbness, have trouble healing because of the lack of blood circulation. Small problems that emerge on patient’s feet can cause serious complications when neglected. This is why diabetics need to pay special attention to their foot care. At Acibadem Hospitals we have taken into consideration the sensitivity of diabetics and use special devices for their foot care instead of sharp cutters and pointy instruments. Also diabetics are recommended special foot products that nourish the skin.

2. Ingrown nail care

Thanks to the wire system called 3TO, ingrown toenails do not have to be dealt with by surgery. With 3TO the recurrence of ingrown nails is prevented.

3. Thickened (Gryphotic)/Fungus afflicted nail care

Thickened nails are thinned out without aches, pain or bleeding. If necessary a gel system is applied.

4. Deformed nails care

Nails that have become deformed by impact or a number of different reasons are reshaped.

5. Orthosis applications

Deformations that are caused by posture or walking disorders are corrected by providing special support materials. Thus the pain and sensitiveness caused by the deformation is relieved.

6. Gel System

This is applied to correct the nail bed in thickened, deformed and ingrown nails. Fungus treatment periods are shortened with the gel system. Also the unattractive appearance of nails caused by thickening and fungus is eliminated.

7. Bunion care

Bunion layers are cleaned using a device that does not cause pain and protects the pressured area to prevent recurrence of bunions.

8. Skin deformation, hardening and thickening care

The hardening and thickening that happens, especially in the soles with unsuitable weight distribution, pressure and friction can be relieved with a special device without causing aches and pain. A pressure reduction support material is used to prevent recurrence. The dead tissue layers on the skin are removed and care is applied with suitable products. With regular care the skin can become rejuvenated, smooth and thin.

9. Cracked heal care

Regular thinning of skin and the use of high oil content creams in regular care eliminate cracking in the heals.
